It has a narrow posterior elongation extending towards the articular surface for some distance behind the last tooth. Lying along the inside of the dentary and extending almost from the front of the jaw to the anterior border of the supra-Meckeliaii fossa is the " coronoid," which throughout nearly the whole of its length bears a large number of small teeth. In the jaws of Trimerorachis and Eryops, as described by Broom and by Williston, this "coronoid" consists of three elements—the coronoid proper,.
