USA, WA, Nisqually National Wildlife Reserve. Alson Brown's 1500 acre dairy farm.
USA, WA, Nisqually National Wildlife Reserve. In the early 1900's Alson Brown drained 1500 acres of salt marsh to create his dairy farm. He built miles of dike to prevent tidal surge. The National Wildlife Refuge removed those dikes to restore the estuary's natural ecology.
