Galerie Ravenstein, Bruxelles, Belgium. Cavernous but rather run down, the Galerie Ravenstein connects Gare Centrale with the Uptown, and is still a wonderful gallery arcade. Designed in the 1950s by Alexis and Philippe Dumont, there is plenty of artistic and architectural sightseeing to be done while walking through the arcade. Galerie Ravenstein leads directly to Central Station, housed in a four-story office building. Originally designed as a shopping center, the gallery can accommodate over 80 shops. When walking through, be sure to look up at the innovative skylight and stellar artwork incorporated into the design of the arcade.
