This was taken in March 2005 and is a view to the south of the Kathmandu valley from the pleasant hilltop resort of Hattiban At this time of year the colours in the sky can be spectacular with dramatic pastel shades like these pinky browns and blues Beneath the brooding cloud lies Dakshinkali site of many gruesome sacrifices and popular with ghoulish tourists You can also make out the rice paddies terraces and pine clad slopes of coniferous forest
