Okavango Delta, Botswana, aerial view. This region is a vast seasonal floodplain. During January and February it is flooded by water from the Okavango River which then spreads over a 250 kilometre by 150 kilometre area between March and June. The delta attracts enormous concentrations of wildlife. Photographed in October 2010.
