GULF OF OMAN (July 15, 2013) An E-2C Hawkeye assigned to the "Wallbangers" of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 117 lands on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz Strike Group is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions for Operation Enduring Freedom.
