Drill instructors and recruits with Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, perform warm-up exercises at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, May 8. The recruits performed various exercises and stretches prior to beginning their physical training session to prevent possible injuries. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Charlie Company is scheduled to graduate July 27.
