Anthony, who was born inScituate, Rhode Island, 1835, died here in 1877. He was in the coal business in thiscity during nearly all his active life, and most of the time with the Worcester CoalCompany. George H. and Maria E. FRED HINCKLEY SMITH, Assistant general manager of the WorcesterElectric Light Cnmpany. was born in Bangor. Maine. December 19, 1864, son ofOliver Hinckley and Margaret (Howe) Smith. At the age of three he moved with his parents to Pawtucket, Rhode Island,and attended the public schools there. He learned the trade of watchmaker andwas employed in the \^altham Watch Factory, and afterward in the wholesale de-partment of a Boston concern dealing in watches.
