Mingus, commander of the 82nd Airborne Division and a survivor of the 1994 Green Ramp Disaster, speaks to attendees of a memorial ceremony at Fort Bragg, marking the 25th anniversary of the event on Mar. 22, 2019. Mingus was among hundreds of 82nd Airborne Division Paratroopers who were preparing to conduct airborne training on Mar. 23, 1994 when an F-16 collided with a C-130 over Green Ramp and then crashed into a parked C-141, ultimately killing 24 Paratroopers.
