Redon, foire de la Teillouse
Redon is a commune in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in Brittany in northwestern France. It is a sub-prefecture of the department. In the Middle Ages, Redon benefited from maritime commerce due to its location on the Vilaine. Every year on the fourth Saturday of October, stands at more than fair Redon Millennium: The Teillouse . What was originally a religious gathering was transformed over the centuries into a trade show and a festive gathering. Initially, it was a religious holiday commemorating the relics to the abbey of Saint-Sauveur. All this is immediately transformed into a fair where farmers and traders were doing business. Gradually the business and take over the party gave way to the fair that farmers call "Tayouse" literally "muddy or muddy "like the weather that supports this autumn fair, where the little play on words," fair Teillouse, pissouse fair!
