Estrogen sulfotransferase molecule. Computer model showing the structure of oestrogen sulfotransferase (blue) bound to estradiol (red) and ATP (yellow). Oestradiol is one of three naturally-occurring oestrogens. Oestrogen sulfotransferase transfer a sulfonate group to the oestrogen molecule, which inactivates it. A few atoms of the sulfotransferase have been removed in order to show the otherwise hidden estradiol and A3P.
