the study, inside 36 Smith Square, Westminster, London, UK Mulberry House is one of the largest and most distinguished houses in Westminster, occupying a prime corner position on secluded Smith Square. Grade II listed. Approximately 1,088 sq m (11,720 sq ft). Corner terraced town house. 1911 by (Sir) Edwin Lutyens. Grey brick with red brick and ashlar dressings, tiled roof. Restrained William and Mary/neo-Georgian. 3 storeys and steep dormered mansard. 3 windows wide with 7-window return to Dean Trench Street. Stone rusticated central doorway, with bolection cornice set over ground floor plat band, has glazed wrought iron grille door. Ground floor glazing bar sashes recessed in rusticated stone surrounds carried to plinth. 1st floor has tall flush framed glazing bar sashes in manner, under red brick flat gauged arches and with red brick dressings carried down to ground floor plat band framing aprons below sills. Deep, moulded stone eaves cornice.
