The Year The year 1909-10 has been a most successful and prosperous year forOttawa University. With a larger endowment, a victorious football teamand winning orator, besides the numerous other victories and accomplish-ments, Ottawa students are proud to call Ottawa University their AlmaMater. Ottawa University at present has the largest productive endowmentof any university or college in Kansas. In securing an additional $100,000for the endowment, the total productive endowment has become approxi-mately $254,000. In a resume of the football season, the Campus expresses the senti-ment of the Ottawa students in the words, Ottawa feels sure that it wasa winner. A team that can win such a large percentage of games—thatcan in the winning, inflict such shut out scores—that has been defeatedbut once, and has had its goal line crossed but once—such a team in theopinion of all, is a winning team. Although Ottawa did not win as large a percentage of games inbasketball as in football, the
