Luis Alvarado, right, attached to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and embarked on the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48), visit a patient at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, Australia, during a port visit. Ashland is in Brisbane to advance relations ahead of the bilateral training exercise Talisman Saber. During the visit, Sailors and Marines will participate in multiple community relations projects, local tours, and experience the culture of the historic city.
