A French/Swiss(?) percussion rifle, circa 1850 Octagonal barrel in 10 mm calibre of Damascus steel, the muzzle and in front of the patent breechblock gold band inlays, on the top curve sight and inscription "DAMAS TURC FIN". Percussion lock engraved with fine tendrils, set trigger. Carved, finely chequered walnut half stock and en suite engraved iron furniture. Iron ramrod with brass tip.
