The over-all size of this house is larger than is required to get the areas of therooms on the first floor according to the minimum called for under the Act. Theseover-all dimensions were likely determined by the desire to work in the small den onthe ground floor. This, however, necessitated quite a lot of extra hall space to getpast the den to the main stairway. The front vestibule and the necessary coat hanging space should have been includedin this plan. A side entrance door should also have vestibule protection. A door at the topof the stairs leading down to the grade level would provide vestibule protection atside entrance door. Small side windows to give cross ventilation for all the bedrooms should havebeen provided. 54 OF .MIXK llAL AFFAIRS Xo. 65. <= TRONT fir/ATIOH
