Two men on very long ladders restore brickwork with two men holding the bases, in Sharpthorne tunnel on the Bluebell Railway

Two men on very long ladders restore brickwork with two men holding the bases, in Sharpthorne tunnel on the Bluebell Railway just before it was re-opened for steam trains to pass through in April 1992. Sharpthorne Tunnel is on the Bluebell Railway Line leading to the former West Hoathly Station site. Just north of here a new three-span girder bridge had to be built so that in 1994 the railway could re-open up the line in Kingscote.
