The lower part of the conjunc-tiva was exposed, red, and velvety ; the movements of theeye were very greatly interfered with. No pulsationcould be frit iii the tumour. No enlarged glands couldbe fell anywhere. On account of the unsightly condition of the proptosedeye, and of the painful ulcerated condition of the cornea,it was thought advisable to clear out the orbit ; removalof the eye would have left an unsightly tumour, and therewas no
