March 17 appears doubtful, but itis quite probable that the debate will oc-cur before the Easter vacation which be-gins March COLLEGE DIGNITY Many tilings are expected of a collegeman. ami perhaps the first essential char-acteristic which he is supposed to possessis a certain degree of dignity, or, in otherwords, a freedom from those acts whichare pardonable in the immature child, bulwhich should not be adhered to by thecollege man. To many people who haveknown of the college student only byhearsay, he is a being of another realm,a man of privileges and talents, and thepersonification of all that which is relatedto the word dignity. We are afraid that if such personscould see some of our young men in chapeliind could see the puerile way in whichsome of them conduct themselves duringtheir brief stay there, they would be muchdisappointed. The chapel services areshort, lasting only about fifteen minutes,and due to their character should carrya high sense of sobriety.
