Starigrad Paklenica, Croatia - 5 September 2016 Starigrad Paklenica is a small Croatian seaside village and port, located on the coast of the Velebit channel which leads into the Adriatic. It is built on the foundations of the ancient Greek city of Argiyruntuma. It is also close to the national park of Paklenica. Now, like many towns on or around the Makarska Riviera, the pretty Starigrad is benefiting from a tourist boom. Maybe its lovely climate, crystalline waters, beaches and scenic location under the Biokovo mountains might have something to do with it? Here we see its coastline, complete with ruined castle.
