On the wall a pattern of peonies interrupted by four recessed, leaf-shaped boxes with a swastika or grainy pattern in gilt paper mâché. An ear in the shape of an elephant's head in two compartments. A metal bird cage has been placed under these ears around the vase, resting on varnished wooden edges. Below the top edge a band with four ruyi motifs of gilt paper mâché. Rocks, branches and a pair of male and female green pheasant (Phasianus versicolor)
