PHILIPPINE SEA (July 31, 2022) Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Mechanical) 2nd Class Alexis Cardona, from Farmersville, California, collects a fuel sample at the refueling station aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Higgins (DDG 76) during a replenishment-at-sea with Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE 7) while sailing in the Philippine Sea, July 31. Higgins is assigned to Task Force 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the 7th fleet’s principal surface force.
