A steam powered old working canal boat and it's butty passes New Lane on the Leeds and Liverpool canal in West Lancashire.


The steam powered narrow boat President and her butty Kildare pass the New Lane Swing Bridge no 31 on the Leeds and Liverpool canal near Burscough in West Lancashire. The narrow boat was built for Fellows, Morton and Clayton, a midlands based canal carrying company in 1896. She is preserved at The Black Country living museum in Dudley in the West Midlands and goes on tour in the summer months along with her butty boat Kildare. They where passing along the Leeds and Liverpool canal to Liverpool to attend a “Steam at the Dock” event in the Albert Dock over the weekend of 7th and 8th of May 2016.
