The largest bore a fine bearded face, another a small head, andthe rest were fragments of foliage, tabernacle work, inscriptions or plain blue, rubyor yellow (Figs. 14, 15, 16). (iv.) ARCHITECTURAL FRAGMENTS.—But few of these can be assigneddefinitely to any particular part of the structure. In the presbytery were found LESNES ABBEY numerous voussoirs of 13th century vaulting ribs, deeply moulded and with two rowsoi bold dog toothing. The moulded ribs of the Lady Chapel vault were also foundand with them numerous fragments of 1 1th century door jambs, arrh moulds andwindow jambs, all well moulded.
