The ancestors of thisgentleman were of Yorkshire, and have espoused heir-esses of the Driffields, Babingtons and Burrows, besidethe heiress of the Revels, whose two children died in-fants. The father of Sir Paul Jenkinson was made abaronet by James I. He held Walton-by-Chesterfield,which was a gift to his sire by Paul Fletcher, who boughtit from the Ingrams, who had purchased it from theFoljambes. Sir Paul had only a daughter by CatherineRevel, who after her fathers death gave Walton to her.
