On Sundays grand concertsare given. On pleasant days the cars carry about people tothe beach, and on special occasions, as many as 15,000 peoplehave been counted on the beach at one time. Special rates offare are offered by the railway company to excursion parties fromneighboring cities and parties frequently come in on the steam. CAR cars to Exeter or .^meshury and then go by the electrics to thebeach. It is quite the fashion for some of the large stores and fac-tories at .\mesbury to close for a day and give the employes afree excursion to the beach. Merchants associations and otherorganized bodies frequently make excursions to the beach and areentertained at the casino. During one week in August, the Rock-ingham County Musical Association gave public concerts at thehall, the singers being entertained at the hotel. From this it willbe seen that the street railway lines caters to a very large patron-age, and that its officers are fully awake to the future possibilitiesof Hampton Beach.
