Meanwhile a dozen men were hurryingto the river beneath the falls and placedthemselves on both sides where they wouldsee him when he swam into smooth water,if ever he should. After a weary wait ofnearly 90 ininutes one man saw somethinganimate far up the river. Five minuteslater- it was positively identified as theCrocodile, who, making for the bank witha few powerful strokes of the tail, wassafely dragged
