Ghost Reservoir is a hydroelectric dam generating electricity for Calgary, reducing summer flows in the Bow River and losing water to evaporation
Ghost Dam is one of several hydroelectric dams upstream from Calgary that reduce summer flows in the Bow River by storing water for winter release. Restoring more natural flow patterns could make the dams part of the water solution, rather than continuing forces of river destruction.
