'The Old Fortress, Kamenetz', Ukraine, 1879. In 1672, Sultan Muhammad IV captured the fortress of Kamieniec (also known as Kamianets) in Podolia (now in Ukraine). The Poles were forced to surrender the province and the rest of the Ukraine.
