Really finely painted antique Japanese teapot and sugar bowl depicting unusual atmospheric scenes with birds flying in the forest. With flower finials and gold accents on the handles, spout and around the rims. Very rare examples of this type. Each marked to the base with iron red mark. Height: teapot 19 cm, sugar bowl 14 cm. Origin: Japan Date of production: early 20th century, Meiji - Taisho period Material: porcelain
