Afterthis first exercise of the ministry in the Diocese of Balti-more he came to New York, and was appointed to theChm-ch of St. Cyrillus and St. Methodius, on the 27th ofSeptember, 1875. His active zeal has done much to mould the littleconffresration of Bohemian CathoHcs into an earnest anddevoted body, their faith being kept alive by pious as-sociations and the influence of the schools. Their present prosperity, if not the origin of theirchurch, is due, in no small degree, to the patience andthe intelligent zeal of the clergjnnan who now fills theresponsible position of pastor in this CHURCH OF SAINT ELIZABETH.
