This was the first function the society has held since be- fore the United States entered the war. This is the occasion for their young women to make their debut. There was a large attendance, and it was a most successful affair. The floral decorations were especially elaborate, many palms and cut flowers being used. Although there were not so many bunches used at this as at the Bachelor's Cotillion, which was held December 1 at the Luric, every florist was busy with bunches and corsage work. The dinner was served at small tables, the decorations being pink and yellow. For these, great masses of mums, roses and sweet peas were used. A visit to the retail stores Thanksgiv- ing eve found everyone going to ca- pacity; advance orders were reported by everyone to equal, if not exceed, pre- vious years. At W. J.
