Peraeopod 1, 2^"^ joint feebly produced at apex, length less than rest of limb, 5^^ and 7^^ joints equal, each a little shorter than 6*^. Peduncle of uropods longer than the exopod but slightly shorter than the endopod, which has 3 small spines about tbe middle of the medial margin, the apex bare, acute. L. 4'2 mm. d. Carapace with only a faint trace of the encircling collar, and without the hinder pair of dorsal carinae; infero-laterally a faint horizontal ridge meets the collar anteriorly. Dorso-lateral keels on last 2 pedigerous segments, but the stout pleon segments have no distinct keels. Terminal joints of peraeopod 1 longer and more slender than in 9. Gulf of Siam; depth 9—-18 mm. 19. C. thomsoni Calm. 1907 , Caiman in: Tr. zool. Soc. Londou, r. I81 p. 7, 14 t. 5 f. 12—16. Near to C. levis (nr. 8). Pseudorostral lobes short, with eyelobe reaching to or beyond their apices; antero-lateral tooth minute. Carapace pitted, rugose, with dorsal carina flattened or faintly doubled to the rear; on either side behind the middle a short groove is limited by a faint ridge running obliquely downwards; a slight short ridge runs backward from the antero-lateral corners. Pedigerous segment 1 exposed at the sides in Q, not in (S, 2"'^ with dorsal carina, 3^ to 5*^ with lateral carinae. Pleon segments with dorsal and lateral carinae and articular processes in 9, the lateral carinae wanting in 6. Eyelobe apparently short, occupied by several corneal lenses. Perae
