Pie was bomin Streator Jan. 30, 1882, was educated at thelocal ]iul)lic and high schools, and was grad-uated from Beloit College, class of 1903. He be-gan jiractice in 190() as stated with Mr. Reeves,the finn then being Reeves, Osborn & is the son of one of the most respected citi-zens of Streator, Mr. Oakley Griggs, for 30years head of the Oakley Griggs Drug Co. 164 THE STORY OP STREATOR. ROBERT E. LARKIN Robert E. Larkin is tl)e junior member ofthe ]aw tinn of Lucey & Larkin of this Larkin was born and reared two miles westof Streator in the town of Eagle. He receivedhis early education at the Kangley publicschools; later he completed his classical course. Robei t E. Larkin. of studies at the Streator High School and atSt. Bede College, in this state. He then took upthe study of law and in October, 1906, was ad-mitted to the Hlinois bar. Lumediately there-after he began tlie jiractice of law in this cityand in September, 1907, foi-med a partnershipwith P. J. Lucey, of this city. Mr. Larkin hasalso been admitted to the practice of law in theDistrict and Circuit Courts of the United Statesand has successfully conducted cases in the Courts and the highest courts of the state ofIllinois. He is a member of the Streator Cluband of the Streator Commercial Club. He hassince starting in business in Streator alwayscontributed to the building of our new churchesand schools and to all ])u
