The residents of Puente de Vallecas took to the streets again on March 4 at 8:00 to demand the immediate opening of the emergency services of Primary Care (SUAP) of their district, more resources for this first step of Madrid Health and not for the private sector and in favor of vaccination in outpatient clinics. 'We defend our health without stopping' and 'a neighborhood united to recover the common' are the slogans of this new call organized by Vallekas Por lo Público, which will have as stages the entrances of the Ángela Uriarte health centers (Calle de Candilejas, 66) and Federica Montseny (Avenida de la Albufera, 285). The district's SUAPs remain closed since the start of the pandemic. "At first, its professionals were referred to the Ifema field hospital, to later be transferred to Madrid hospitals and thus reinforce their workforce, where they still continue," they say from the Regional Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Madrid (FRAVM) . The Vallecana platform attributes these movements to a "clear lack of investment in the reinforcement of health personnel by the Government of the Community of Madrid." In addition to its reopening, the organizers demand that vaccination be carried out in Primary Care, especially that of the most vulnerable groups such as the elderly, chronic patients and people with previous pathologies. They also warn of "the precarious situation in which public health continues in the region, especially Primary Care, and the policies of the autonomous government aimed at its dismantling"
