Machu Picchu, Quechua words meaning "Old Mountain" is an ancient Andean town of Inca origin, built in the mid fifteenth century in the rocky promontory that unites the Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu mountains, in the eastern slopes of the Cordillera Central, the southern Peru.
