The original strain, developed to provide shippers with a long, smooth, handsome carrot, and probably the most extensively grown variety. Top medium, but strong enough for good bunch- ing. Root has rounded shoulder, smooth, deep rich orange; uniformly tapered to a semi-blunt end. Flesh rich orange color, extending to center of root; fine grained, tender and of excellent quality.
