A bullock train, running on narrow-gauge rail tracks, is carrying boxes of processed rubber at the The Langkat Sumatra Rubber Company in their plantation and processing works, Sumatra, Indonesia, The railway train is hauled by two bullocks and native local workers (some are brakemen on the train) and their white boss, who is wearing a white suit and a pith hat, are posing for the photograph. The boxes carried on the wagons are stamped with stencil lettering and feature the initials of the company (LSRC) as well as their export destination (London).
