Duniway has an-nounced five appointments to the Col-orado College faculty for the comingyear, following a ratification of theseappointments by a committee from theboard of trustees. Professor M. J. Kernall, who has re-signed as head of the department ofbiology, will be succeeded by Profes-sor A. J. Giimore, now head of thatdepartment at Huron College, SouthDakota, and secretary of the SouthDakota Academy of Science. Profes-sor Giimore comes recommended bythe science departments of Cornell andLehigh Universities where he took hisdegrees, completing his A. B. work atLehigh in 1908. his M. A. at Lehigha tew years later, and his doctor ofphilosophy degree at Cornell. He wasan instructor and assistant professorof biology at Lehigh and Cornell uni-versities. For the past
