This compartmentcontains the lightning arresters, oil circuit breaker and themeasuring instrument transformers. The adjoining sec-tion contains the single load transformer, which steps downthe trolley potential to 1000 volls. This transformer hastwo secondaries, with seven taps each, for making differentrunning combinations through the contactors. The samelocomotive unit contains the reverser, contactors, regulat-ing transformers, separator switches and fuses. Roth the load transformer and the motors are cooled bya Sirocco blower which is driven by a 30-hp motor. Thisinstallation
