RHIBs are used to transport Sailors to other vessels in an effort to fight fires, stop flooding and help crewmembers and passengers. Currently under way in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility, Kitty Hawk demonstrates power projection and sea control as the Navy's only permanently, forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
