If the weather is at all favorable, the great bulk of the crop can be gathered at any time within a period of four weeks, and be found in fit condition for table use. It almost invariably yields two and very frequently three mammoth ears to the stalk. The cob is very white, compactly covered with large and very long handsome bright golden grains.
