Not for use in Television Not for use in Television Vagus nerve stimulator magnet on the wrist of a male patient. This is a treatment for epilepsy. Stimulation of the vagus nerve with an electrical current reduces the number and severity of epileptic seizures. This magnet is held over the stimulator, which is implanted in the patient's chest, to induce the stimulation. The mechanism by which this stimulation affects seizures is not fully understood.
