Rocking-Stones. When large boulders are left on ledges they may be so evenly bal-anced that a slight effort only is needed to make them oscillate. Suchcases as have fallen under my notice are the following : On Shirley hill, Goffstown, just east of Uncanoonuc, there are of them is 8 feet high and 42 feet in circumference. The dimen-sions of the other are not stated. With them is a third large stone. Governor Prescott speaks of a rocking-stone upon Mt. A.
