I suppose it is true that 75 per cent, of these weredamaged in transit, or received in such bad condition that they could notbe used for the following Winter for boxes and for other purposes for whichwe have been using them. Now, a very good substitute for Box treeswould be small evergreens, which our American nurserymen are alreadypreparing for this purpose.
