Louis Francis Albert Victor Nicholas Mountbatten, 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma (born Prince Louis of Battenberg; 25 June 1900 - 27 August 1979), was a member of the British royal family, Royal Navy officer and statesman. During the Second World War, he was Supreme Allied Commander, South East Asia Command. Commander John Simon Kerans DSO (30 June 1915 - 12 September 1985) was an officer in the Royal Navy and later a Conservative Party politician.
