Birchfield Street, Poplar, Tower Hamlets, London, 1890. Showing a row of small terraced houses separated from the road by iron railings. Birchfield Street is situated in the Docklands, between the East India and West India Dock Roads. It was first known as Sandpit Road, then West Street until 1875. It was part of a development from 1812 onwards.
