PRE=HISTORIC CORN, This is a very great novelty. Search could be made over our entire country and no corn similar to it in stalk, blade, ear or style of srowth would he found. It produces 2 to n ears to the stalk, averaging 4 to 6 good ears, and under favorable conditions will yield 250 bu. per acre. The color is a beautiful bronze, gliding to ''ght bronze. The stalks grow from 12 10 15 feet high; the blades 7 inches broad and lo feet 5 inches from tip to tip on opposite sides of the stalk, with sometimes 11 ears to the stalk. It is a wonderfully deep feeder, stands erect, the strong- est N\ inds never blowing it down, and thrusts its roots still deeper during a drouth. As a variety to strip the low- er blades off for feed, it will yield three times the leaf fodder as any other. I cannot do justice in describing this great corn, it must be seen to Be ap- preciated. Horses and cattle prefer this corn and fodder to others. As a table corn, it is as sweet as sugar corn, while its color, green, gives it a dis- tinct value as a great novelty. Per- haps our sweet and field varieties of corn were bred from this original com, which combines the qualities of both. For ensilage, the Pre-Historic Corn, when planted thickly, must be very popular. Its stalks are brittle and juicy, and leaves broad, lon.'^, .sweet and fleshy. It is claimed iTiat this Cum lay buried more than 3,000 years, and has only recently been discovered. It is a Dent variety and will give my customers good satisfaction. Send in an order for some of this seed, it will prove a great curiositv. Per pkt. tic; >^ ; pt. 30c.; q't. 35c. postpaid. B'y express or freight not prepaid, pk. T5c.; >^ bu. «; bu. . H. L.
