A sword for the second company of musketeers,of the Royal Guard 1814 - 15. A triangular thrusting blade with the upper third bearing gilded decorative etching on a blued background. Brass knucklebow hilt with some silver plating preserved. Fluted vase pommel. The quillon block bears a musketeers cross in relief. Silver wire winding(somewhat loose). Black leather scabbard with silver plated,lightly engraved(spider web)mountings.
