The method of suppressing transmission by opening a single relay contact is illustrated in detail by Fig. 3. In A of this figure, the relay (i? on the figure) is assumed to be operated so that transmission is suppressed. The voltages induced in windings ^Si and 52 of the first coil are opposed to each other in a circuit including P2 and P3 of the second coil, the resulting flux in the core of this coil being very small.
